Privacy policy and terms: https://leutrim.ch/apps/index.html

The app is free to use. For references, acknowledgements and third-party licence conditions, see the Third-Party Notices. The permissions below apply only to rights Leutrim can grant; each applicable third-party licence continues to govern its own material.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to Fourfold, an offline collection of Mills, Go, Tic-tac-toe, and Draughts, published by the publisher identified above. You may play, learn, and enjoy the app without creating an account. The current app has no advertising or in-app purchases.

The terms describe your permission to use the app and freely reuse its original content. Mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply. Store installation and distribution rules also apply where you obtain the app through a store.

2. Permission to use the app

For Android and the browser version, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, educational, or commercial purposes. You may copy and redistribute an Android build we have lawfully made available, provided you preserve the applicable third-party license and copyright notices. Clearly identify any modified build so people can distinguish it from our release. This permission does not give you access to private signing keys, store accounts, or source code we have not released.

For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, the additional Apple terms in section 10 apply to the installed app package. The separate permission to reuse original content in section 3 remains available.

3. Free use, redistribution, and sharing of original content

To the extent we own the necessary rights, we grant everyone a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, copy, share, publish, modify, adapt, redistribute, and sell Fourfold's original content, and to pass these same permissions to others. This includes original game explanations, lessons, puzzles, app-created illustrations, board and piece artwork, textures, interface graphics, and screenshots or board images produced by the app. Personal, educational, and commercial uses are all permitted. You do not need to request permission or pay us. Attribution for our original content is appreciated but not required.

This grant applies to the rights we can grant; it does not claim exclusive ownership of traditional game rules, public-domain material, or material for which copyright does not arise. Some artwork was created with generative image tools. We make no promise that such artwork is unique or exclusively protected by copyright.

Third-party code, icons, and fonts remain subject to their own licenses in the Third-Party Notices. Preserve their required notices when copying or redistributing them. Screenshots or mixed materials that contain third-party content do not remove those underlying rights or requirements.

This content license does not grant a right to imply our endorsement, impersonate the publisher, or use third-party trademarks as your own. You may identify Fourfold factually when describing or crediting it. Your own contributions remain yours; these terms do not transfer their ownership to us.

4. Local saves and privacy

The Privacy Policy explains local storage, optional sharing, and device backups. The app does not send your gameplay data to us. Saved information can be lost if you clear storage, delete the app, change devices, or encounter a storage failure. We cannot restore saves we never received.

When sharing, review the image and choose a destination you trust. The recipient's rules and privacy practices apply after you send it.

5. Fair and lawful use

You may use and redistribute the app and its original content within the permissions above. Respect other people's rights and the licenses of included components. Do not present a modified app as an official release or falsely imply that we or a component's authors endorse it. Nothing here restricts rights independently granted by an open-source license or applicable law.

6. Availability, rules, and support

The app provides recreational and educational game experiences. Rule variants, hints, computer opponents, and scores may differ from a tournament's requirements. We do not promise a particular playing strength, uninterrupted operation, permanent availability in a store, or indefinite support for every device. Contact dev2@leutrim.ch for support.

7. Warranties and liability

The app and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Leutrim does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, availability, uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for a particular purpose, or any particular result.

You are responsible for how you use or misuse the app and its content. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Leutrim accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or other consequence arising from use, misuse, reliance on, or inability to use the app or its content.

These exclusions do not affect mandatory consumer or privacy rights, statutory guarantees, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where protected by law. Applicable third-party licences and their warranty provisions remain in force. Nothing requires arbitration or prevents access to competent courts.

8. Changes and duration

You may stop using the app at any time. Future versions may come with updated terms, identified by a new effective date. Changes do not revoke the original-content permissions already granted under section 3 or permissions independently granted by third-party licenses. We do not remotely disable your local saves through an account service.

9. General provisions

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not require you to waive mandatory consumer protections or bring claims exclusively in a foreign court. Questions and claims should be directed to the publisher at the contact details above.

10. Additional terms for Apple App Store installations

For App Store installations, the licence supplied with the app governs the executable. If no custom EULA is supplied through App Store Connect, Apple's Standard EULA applies. This website notice supplements that licence and does not replace it or change the agreement configured in App Store Connect. Separate permissions for publisher-owned content and third-party components remain subject to their respective scope and applicable law.

Parties and responsibility. This agreement is between you and Leutrim. Apple is not a contracting party. We are responsible for Fourfold and its content.

Installation license. Your App Store package license is non-transferable and permits use on Apple-branded products you own or control under the Apple Media Services Usage Rules. Associated accounts may access it through permitted Family Sharing or volume purchasing. This does not authorize redistribution of the App Store package.

Support and warranties. We provide any support and warranties required by law; Apple has no support obligation. If the app fails an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of its purchase price. As law permits, Apple has no further warranty obligation; remaining warranty-related claims and losses are our responsibility.

Claims. We, rather than Apple, handle product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and privacy claims concerning the app. We also handle investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of third-party claims that its possession or use infringes intellectual-property rights.

Export restrictions. You represent that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by it as a terrorist-supporting country, and are not on a US Government prohibited or restricted-party list.

Other agreements and beneficiaries. Comply with applicable third-party agreements when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and may enforce this agreement upon your acceptance. No provision conflicts with Apple's applicable Usage Rules or limits liability beyond what the law permits.

Developer contact. Direct questions, complaints, and claims to Leutrim, dev2@leutrim.ch.

These provisions reflect Apple's Minimum EULA Terms; see also its Standard EULA. This website notice does not itself register a custom EULA with Apple.
