Matura — Terms & conditions

These terms describe use of Matura / Matura Kosovo and its educational content. The publisher is Leutrim. Contact: dev2@leutrim.ch. Read these terms together with the Privacy Policy and Copyright and Third-Party Notices.

The app is free to use. For references, acknowledgements and third-party licence conditions, see the Copyright and Third-Party Notices. The permissions below apply only to rights Leutrim can grant; each applicable third-party licence continues to govern its own material.

1. A free learning resource

Matura provides practice questions, explanations, study activities, exam simulations and local progress reports. The current app is free to use, requires no Matura account and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Device, internet or third-party service charges may still apply.

You may use it for personal study, teaching and other lawful educational activities. Follow applicable law and respect other people's rights when sharing material or progress. If you are not legally able to agree to terms on your own, involve a parent or guardian as required by applicable law.

2. Independent preparation, not an official examination

Matura is not operated, approved or endorsed by Kosovo's education ministry, Albania's Qendra e Shërbimeve Arsimore, Apple or Google. References to exam topics or institutions identify educational context and do not imply affiliation.

Practice results, levels, achievements and readiness indicators are learning aids. They are not official scores, qualifications, admissions decisions or guarantees of passing an exam. Exam structures and curricula can change. Use the relevant authority's current instructions for the real examination.

Questions and explanations can contain errors despite review. Some original material and explanations were developed with AI assistance and editorial checks; they are not official answer-key certification. Report suspected errors to the contact address so they can be reviewed. Study examples are not professional medical, financial or legal advice.

Original questions, explanations and illustrations owned by Leutrim and expressly identified as covered by Matura's content license are offered under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International — CC BY 4.0. The legal code contains the license terms.

You may use, copy, share, redistribute, translate and adapt that material without paying us or requesting separate permission, including for commercial purposes. Give reasonable credit to Matura — Leutrim, link to CC BY 4.0, and indicate changes. Do not suggest that we endorse your adaptation. Do not impose additional restrictions on the licensed freedoms. This permission remains available for licensed copies while you comply with the license; later app updates do not revoke it.

An example credit is: “Adapted from Matura educational content by Leutrim, licensed under CC BY 4.0; changes made.”

This license covers only content that we own and have identified for this purpose. It does not relicense third-party exam questions, textbook passages, quotations, artwork, photographs, diagrams, fonts, software libraries or other separately licensed material. Those remain subject to their respective rights, permissions and licenses. Being downloadable, appearing in this app, or having a share button does not establish unrestricted redistribution rights. Statutory exceptions and public-domain freedoms remain unaffected.

The Matura name, logo and branding are not licensed for presenting another app or service as the official Matura product. This does not prevent truthful attribution. Your own study records are not placed under our educational-content license; you choose whether to share them.

4. Software and store licenses

The educational-content license is separate from the app's software license. It does not release the private source repository or relicense third-party code.

For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a custom EULA has been supplied in App Store Connect. These terms are supplementary content and service terms, not a custom Apple EULA. Any separately granted permission to reuse original educational material is limited to that material and does not authorize redistribution of the iOS application binary.

For Android and the browser edition, you may install and use the publisher-provided application without charge for lawful personal or educational use. Google Play's applicable terms govern your dealings with Google Play. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses; nothing here removes permissions they grant or notices they require.

5. Progress, backups and external services

Progress is stored on your device. Export important records before replacing, resetting or removing the app. Imports can replace existing progress. We cannot restore a local history that has been lost and was not exported.

You control optional question, result, challenge and file sharing. Review what you send; recipients can read and reuse a backup to continue its progress. Services such as Google Drive and messaging applications have their own terms and privacy policies. Matura does not operate a public chat or hosted leaderboard through challenge codes.

6. Availability, changes and your rights

We may correct questions and update features. Content and offline functionality can depend on the app version and device. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every device, notification schedule or externally shared file will work identically.

The app and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Leutrim does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, availability, uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for a particular purpose, or any particular result.

You are responsible for how you use or misuse the app and its content. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Leutrim accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or other consequence arising from use, misuse, reliance on, or inability to use the app or its content.

These exclusions do not affect mandatory consumer or privacy rights, statutory guarantees, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where protected by law. Applicable third-party licences and their warranty provisions remain in force. Nothing requires arbitration or prevents access to competent courts.

You may stop using the app at any time and remove local data as described in the Privacy Policy. Updated terms will show a new date. They do not revoke valid open-content permissions for copies already licensed, or retrospectively authorize new data collection.

7. Questions and copyright concerns

For support, corrections, permissions or a copyright concern, contact dev2@leutrim.ch. For a rights concern, identify the material, the right concerned, your relationship to the rights holder and how we can contact you. We will review the report and, where appropriate, correct or remove the affected material. Filing a report does not itself transfer ownership or grant a new license.
